From 2011-2015, Health Literacy Nebraska brought together interested stakeholders to promote the importance of health literacy across Nebraska. Those of us who were part of Health Literacy Nebraska are proud of to have helped elevate awareness of the role of health literacy in health outcomes. We all continue this work, boosted by a network that has grown from the success of Health Literacy Nebraska. Our accomplishments include:
- Hosting the 2013 Health Literacy Summit
- Contributing to the 2014 Nebraska Minority Health Conference: Linking Cultural Competency and Health Literacy
- Hosting the Plain Language on the Plains webinar series from 2013-2015
Our successes have better positioned our members to continue their individual and collaborative work in health literacy.
