COVID-19 Vaccine Information for Nebraskans

Nebraskans can count on their local health departments (LHDs) to make sure that all willing adults in our state are vaccinated when COVID-19 vaccine supplies allow. Right now, they are getting the limited available vaccine doses out to the public as quickly as possible, in accordance with State and Federal guidance. This guidance changes and local health departments must adjust distribution plans when it does.

A statewide registration system for COVID-19 vaccine is expected to launch before Feb. 1. Look for announcements in the coming days. This system will help the State and local health departments identify Nebraskan's who are eligible for the current, priority phases and schedule appointments as vaccine becomes available. This system will NOT be a first-come-first-served system.

COVID-19 vaccines are safe and effective. Universal access to the COVID-19 vaccines will help to get Nebraska past this pandemic. Local health departments encourage all adults in Nebraska to get vaccinated when their turn comes. Keep watching you local health department's social media and website for updates.
