Restore Public Health Funding in Nebraska!

Fully restore Nebraska's public health funding.

Nebraska Local Public Health Departments provide essential services in our communities—but a proposed $4.5M budget cut threatens ongoing access to critical programs like oral health screenings, chronic disease prevention, maternal and child health, and emergency response.

Cutting 37% of state public health funding means fewer health screenings, wellness programs, and emergency response efforts – especially in rural communities. Nebraskans can’t afford to lose access to public health services.

Public health funding is a cost-saving investment. Cutting funding now means higher healthcare costs later.

State funding for local public health has increased just $0.50 per person in 24 years.

Tell your senator: Public health is essential. Fully restore Nebraska’s public health funding!
