NALHD supports local health department efforts to build workforce capacity and expertise. Current focus areas include:
- sustaining and expanding Community Health Workers (CHWs) as members of LHD teams,
- building local environmental public health capacity statewide, and
- expanding the reach of oral health education and prevention.
